To celebrate the start of the third millennium, St Peter's Parochial Church Council proposed that a new stained glass window should be installed in the west window of the Church.  A book was to be created to be a historical record of the village, its inhabitants and the contributors to the cost of the window.  The book is displayed in the Church near the new window.
