Peter & Ursula Moss

Ursula was born on 20th July, 1932, at Langham near Colchester, educated at the Convent of St Mary, Colchester, and the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Ipswich.

She trained as a therapy radiographer at Guy’s Hospital in 1951 and remained on staff until 1956. She married Captain Peter Moss RA on 3rd September 1955. She joined him in Malaya in July 1956, and remained in Malaya and Singapore till September 1958 when they were posted back to the UK. They moved to Feering near Kelvedon in 1961 after Peter left the army.

They came to Stutton in April 1968 and in April 1969, she returned to work as Therapy Radiographer at Ipswich Hospital in Anglesea Road working as Head of Department from 1975 to 1993. The department moved to Heath Road in 1991 and she retired in March 1993.

Peter was born on 18th April, 1929 in Ipswich and educated at Ratcliffe College, Leicester. He joined the army in 1949 and served until 1961. After a short time working at BUPA, he jouined BX Plastics, now Wardle Storeys, in 1963. He worked in the Sales Office until 1983 when he was made redundant but rejoined in 1985 and stayed until retirement in 1994.
