Rainbows, Beavers, Guides, Scouts ...

Both Guiding and Scouting organisations are attached to St. John's and they meet weekly during school term time. The groups come together for church parade services which are held two times a year during our 10.30am Sunday morning service.

Guiding

The Guiding Organisation welcomes girls into Rainbow Units when they are 5 years old. They may then progress through Brownie Packs and Guide Companies and join Rangers when they are 15 years old.

Rainbow Units (5 to 7) meet on Wednesdays in the church hall from 4.45pm to 5.45pm

15th Ipswich (St. John's) Brownie Pack (7 to 10½) meet on Wednesdays in the church hall from 6pm to 7.15pm

4th Ipswich (St. John's) Brownie Pack (7 to 10) meet on Tuesdays in the church hall from 6.15pm to 7.30pm

4th Ipswich (St. John's) Guide Company (10 to 15) meet on Tuesdays in the church hall from 7.30pm to 9pm

15th Ipswich (St. John's) Guide Company (10 to 15) meet on Wednesdays in the church hall from 7.30pm to 9pm

Rangers (15+) are available in the area

Scouting

Activities for boys cover a similar age range from Beavers at 6 years old to Ventures at 15½.

The 6th Ipswich (St. John's) Scout Group meet at their Headquarters on the corner of Britannia Road and Woodbridge Road. The group comprises the following Sections:

Beaver Colony (6 to 8) meet on Wednesday from 6.00pm to 7.30pm

Monday Cub Pack (8 to 11) meet from 7.00pm to 8.30pm

Jupiter Cub Pack (8 to 11) meet on Tuesdays from 7pm to 8.30pm

Thursday Scout Troop (11 to 15½) meet from 7.15pm to 9pm

Friday Scout Troop (11 to 15½) meet from 7.30pm to 9.30pm

Venture Unit (15½+) meet on Wednesdays from 8pm to 10pm
