Wrentham church is tucked away, well outside the village, in a churchyard which is a haven for wildlife. The nave and chancel are unusually wide. The south aisle uses wooden posts on the south wall to support the roof beams, which gives an unusually domestic, half timbered feel.
In the north aisle is a medieval stained glass window depicting St Nicholas, reputedly one of the oldest pictures in England. The church had a major re-roofing and restoration during 1990-2000. |
