Sole Bay Team Youth Group has run for over 5 years and has provided a wide variety of activities for Young People. Sessions are held fortnightly on Sunday evenings and have a balance of social times and learning about the Christian faith. Tuesday Club was started by the United Reformed Church in Southwold, and is run by a team of ecumenical staff. It is a club for children age 5-10, held every Tuesday in term time, from 5:30 – 7:00 at the United Reformed Church in Southwold High Street. The club is run in a very friendly atmosphere, with games and crafts for the first hour followed by an altogether time featuring Christian songs, prayers and an opportunity for the children to share what they have done that week in a “Show and Tell” session. Every year Tuesday club put on a fantastic nativity play and at least one other evening for parents to come along and watch. St Edmund Parent and Toddler Group we meet every wednesday in term time at St Edmund's Hall between 9.30 and 11.30 am. We have lots of play equipment for babies and pre-schoolers and usually have a craft activity of some sort. There is a designated baby area so they don;t get squashed! We have a healthy snack for the children at 10.30 and coffee/tea and chocolate biscuits for adults! Later on in the morning we will usually have some singing and a story. As we were started by St Edmund's Church in Southwold, we do link in with the Church calendar and celebrate the major Christian festivals such as Christmas and Easter with songs, crafts and telling the stories. In the past, we have also had pet blessing services. We are a friendly and supportive group so whether you are local or just visiting, do come and see us.
