| The
link with the Diocese of Kagera is of high priority and
there are two funds kept by the Diocesan Board of Finance
(DBF), specifically for the work of Kagera Diocese.
The Kagera General Fund
contributes to ordinands college fees, books, vehicle repairs,
some lay staff salaries and clergy stipends and administrative
costs of the Diocesan Synod. In 2006 around £10,000
was given to drought relief among the Pastors and Evangelists.
The Kagera Pastors' Children's Fund is used
to pay for clergy children and to attend secondary school.
Clergy in Kagera are often unpaid and secondary schools
charge fees. The diocese sends £3,400 a year and supports
over 70 children.
Ngara
Anglican Primary School Fund is to help
build new premises for this cramped and expanding school
run by the Diocese.
If
