church details available to all via the internet.
The benefits are;
Requires no technical skills or additional maintenance, just any
PC with access to the Internet.
Out of date events are removed automatically.
The service page can easily be incorporated into an existing website
What to do next…
Simply log on to http://www.achurchnearyou.com/admin/sign_up_1.php
and follow the instructions to register.
You will then receive a welcome email containing
a link - click on this and you will be able to log on to add details
of your church.
After you logon – you will be taken to your
own control panel.
All churches or “venues” in the Diocese
of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich have been pre-loaded but are “owned”
by our Web Technical Advisor, Leonard Payne.
You will now need to request a transfer.
“Click
on the transfer-in link” Firstly
– we find our church – In this case we have entered
South Cove, or S Cove.
Click the Find Parish Button
You will then
have the opportunity to Transfer in this Church.
Click on the Yes Button
Next you will
receive a sample warning:…..
…..
and you will need to click on the transfer link.
Next add a
reason … I have added the words “Its Mine !!!”
We will then
transfer the parish venue to you and advise you when this has
been done
When you are
ready you can then add Services details to your church entry by
clicking on the [ + ] button next to the Church Name.
…fill in the service details and press [Add Now] to finish.
What your parish will have in return for following the steps above
is:
Its own website requiring NO additional maintenance or upkeep.

to add maps, photographs and special services to the listings

Q Do
we need a webmaster, with technical skills and special programmes
for publishing to the internet?
A No –
you simply go to www.achurchnearyou.com/admin log on and fill
in the form with your church details.
