Gift Aid - Every £1 given by a UK tax payer under Gift Aid earns the Church an extra 28p. This means that £100 can be turned into £128 if the donation is made through Gift Aid. Click here for more information.

Sponsored Events - Did you know that if you are running a sponsored event each sponsor can count as a Gift Aid donation providing a Gift Aid declaration has been made?

Payroll Giving – A tax-effective way for an employee to give direct from their salary to the Church. The government will add a further 10% until April 2004.

Share Giving – Consider giving shares to the Church. Relief from both income tax and capital gains tax should be available to the donor.

Giving Land or Buildings – Relief from both income tax and capital gains tax may be available to the donor.

Legacies – Please consider remembering the Church in your will. Click here for more information.

Corporate Donors – Did you know that companies can get tax relief when they give to the Church? Donations can be gifts in kind, donated goods, seconded staff as well as money.

Cash Management – Information on the CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) Charity Account or the Church of England Funds is available from the diocesan office or click here for the CAF website.

Trusts and Fundraising – A list of local and national trusts is available on request. Trust reference books and CDs are available for use at the diocesan office. One website that is particularly worth visiting is www.churchcare.co.uk. Set up by the Archbishops’ Council and supported by Ecclesiastical Insurance it contains a wealth of information on fundraising and grant making bodies.

It is possible to give to the Church of England in Suffolk directly on-line by visiting the donations page on this website. Using a CAF facility, one off donations or regular direct debits can be set up to support the work of the Church. Donations can be redirected to specific parishes or go towards the overall diocesan budget.
