If God is
calling you to consider working in a role of considerable complexity
and challenge, in a large urban environment then being a Vicar
in the South West Ipswich Team Ministry may be the place to explore
that call.
Unlike many other Suffolk
parishes most of South West Ipswich has streetlights, some of
which work.
You will live among
40,000 people and share their frustrations and joys. You will
pray for them, care for them, encourage them and be a powerful
advocate for them; and all of this will be centred around a faithful,
lively and modern Eucharist ministry.
You will join committed
ordained and lay colleagues who will want to share your story
as much as they will share theirs; if you are the right person
then you will be encouraged to take on the role of ministerial
formation for the Team.
You will already enjoy
and see the point of close working with schools and with other
agencies, you will understand the need to be fully engaged with
the community.
You will inherit a
building with no work needing to be done.
You will have a growing
congregation to pray with and to love.
You will find people
keen to grow in their faith and to share that faith with others,
and you will help them to do it.
You will not be afraid
to face financial challenge and to teach a consonant theology
of giving.
You will be comfortable
in your own “modern catholic”, inclusive, theological
skin and you will relish a wide variety of church traditions and
lead worship of wide range and styles.
You will often be very
tired and absolutely fulfilled.
You will probably not
own a pair of green wellingtons.
If this sounds like
you, or if you would like it to sound like you, then please contact

be forwarded to you:
