(Half Time) The Blyth Valley Team Ministry This is an exciting and unique appointment, ideal for someone who relishes a challenging and worthwhile specific focus to his or her ministry. The primary role of this post will be to spearhead the regeneration of the church building of St Mary’s, Halesworth. The outcome will be a thoroughly modernised interior, fully equipped equally to allow for dignified Anglican and Ecumenical worship ‘in sacred space’ and the creation of a well-appointed, fully-equipped space which will be well used by the local community for secular purposes and events. With colleagues, and within the context of ecumenical relationships, he or she will also work to build a worshipping, serving community within the Blyth Valley. APPOINTMENT The person appointed
will work for 3.5 days each week plus Sunday duty. A house will be provided.
The appointment is for a term of seven years from the date of the Bishop’s
licence. The Vicar will live in a parsonage house. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Halesworth Regeneration He or she will be a team player who will work collaboratively and at the same time take a clear lead on the Regeneration Project. He or she will develop strong community links. The Vicar will create a Regeneration Working Party in consultation with the Staff and the Parochial and Team councils as well as local town and county council representatives and other community representatives, whose members will actively share in the developing work.
