St. Andrew's, Norton together with St. Mary's, Pakenham and St Andrew's Tostock form the Pakenham Benefice. The Rector, who lives in Pakenham is the Rev. lan Hooper and we also have a part-time, non-stipendary Curate Rev.James Longe. We are also very fortunate to have the services of two Readers Ken Sandell and Alan Taylor both of whom minister throughout the Benefice. St. Andrew's has a thriving Fishes Sunday Club for children which meets each 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 10.00am run by Mrs Tracy Gorzelak ( 01359 242608 ) meeting at either the church on the first Sunday of the month or at Cranmers Little Green Norton when there is a joint Benifice Service at the church and again at Cranmers on the 3rd Sunday of each month. From time to time we have a Children's Service after school preceded by tea. On the fourth Sunday of each month there is a Family Communion Service at 10am when many of the Sunday Club members join us. ************************************
Service Times First Sunday in the month 10.00am Joint Benefice Communion Service following Common Worship Order 1. This service moves between the three church in the Benefice, so in Norton it is held in February, May. August and November. 6.30 pm Evensong Second Sunday 8.00am Holy Communion (BCP) 10.00am Cafe` Church. This service will be proceeded by breakfast and will be suitable for all ages. Third Sunday 10am Mattins Fourth Sunday 11.00am Family Communion (CW) The format for any Fifth Sundays in the month varies but is at 10am and often takes the form of a 'Songs of Praise' type of service. St. Andrew's is an ancient church in a lovely rural setting, with some very interesting features inside but the most important thing about any church is the warmth of its welcome and here at St. Andrew's we hope people who come will find such a welcome. St. Andrews is generally not left open but a key may be obtained from either Mr Richard Neave at Summer Barley Cottage Church Lane (the end cottage at the top of the lane) or from Mrs Olive Wordley at the Old Forge Ixworth Road next to 'The Dog' public house. During the months of June, July and August the church is open on Sunday afternoons from 2pm-5pm and refreshments are available. The Grand Autumn Fayre*************************************
