Earl Soham Fete 2004
The Earl Soham Church Events Committee would like to express their thanks to everyone who helped, donated or attended the fete. It was a very successful day, making a little over £2000. The lucky programme number was 83. Special thanks must go to: J.J.Hutton and Earl Soham Business Centre for again sponsoring the programme; to Lucy Murrell for the loan of her field; Neil Sheffield for his magnificent trains; Sue Rutherford and her good natured pony; Bruce Hinton for the generous gift of straw (sadly for the last year) and of course to all who manned the stalls and games.
Next year's fete will by on 6th August 2005.
Jazz and Blues Lovers – a night not to miss

Friends of St Peter’s Cretingham
Following on from the very successful Sutton Hoo Talk by Dr Sam Newton on 26th April, a field trip to the site was organised on the evening of 21st July. Some 26 Friends enjoyed a fascinating explanation on the known archaeology of the barrows of Sutton Hoo. The occasion was again augmented by wonderful weather, which made the various views even better.
Our next event is the talk by Peter Driver on the 12th October in the Church. Peter’s subject, entitled ‘Follies and Oddities in Suffolk’ will commence at 7.00 p.m. and tickets are £6.00 including a glass of wine.
Hope to see you there!
